Daniel Lewis Frommherz, age 72, passed away on August 13, 2019 in Eugene, OR. Daniel was born on January 8, 1947 in Dallas, OR to Arthur Sr. and Winifred Jane (Smith) Fromherz. After graduating from Cascade Union in Turner, OR, Daniel went on to Mt. Angel College, Lane Community College, and the University of Oregon.
Daniel served in the U.S. Army, going on multiple tours in the Vietnam war during the ‘60s. He was an entrepreneur, and was self-employed as a leather craftsman. Daniel also spent time as a horticulturist and worked on dairy farms milking and showing cattle.
Daniel enjoyed gardening roses, making suspenders and belts from patterns passed down from his grandfather, and as a descendent of the Kings Pioneer Group (Kings Valley, OR), he enjoyed studying the King-Fromherz genealogy. Daniel also had many natural resource hobbies.
Daniel was preceded in death by his parents Arthur Sr. and Winnie Fromherz. He is survived by siblings Leonard Arthur Fromherz of Sublimity, OR; Jane Marie (Tietze) Fromherz of Longview, WA; Ernest James Fromherz of Detroit, OR; Esther Louise Fromherz of Salem, OR; Russell Kevin Fromherz of Reno, NV; Carolyn Sue Patience of Missouri; Lucille Ann Silbernagel of Salem, OR; Martha Jean Northup of Bend, OR; Arthur Francis Fromherz Jr. of Aumsville, OR; Mary Therese Holt of Keizer, OR; and Judy Lynn Fromherz of West Stayton, OR.
