Marc is President and the owner of Sunset Hills Funeral Home Crematorium and Cemetery in Eugene. He is also the owner/operator of Smith-Lund-Mills Funeral Chapel & Crematorium and Fir Grove Cemetery, both of which are located in Cottage Grove, Oregon. He is a graduate of both Linfield College (BS, finance) and Mt. Hood Community College (AS, Mortuary Science).
Marc is currently serving on the Board of Directors for the National Funeral Trust Service. He is Past President of the Oregon Funeral Directors Association, Past Board Chairman of South Lane County Fire & Rescue, and has served on the Policy Board of the National Funeral Directors Association. Marc currently serves as President of the National Funeral Trust Service.
Marc lives in Eugene with his wife, Christina, and their two boys, Jacksen and Nicholas. Marc enjoys many hobbies and interests; including snow skiing, travel, and sailing. Marc and his wife Christina are dedicated volunteers and believe in service to the community.
Christina and her husband, Marc Lund, are co-owners of Sunset Hills Funeral Home Crematorium and Cemetery, in Eugene. She also co-owns Smith Lund Mills Funeral Chapel and Fir Grove Cemetery both in Cottage Grove. Christina graduated from Linfield College with a Bachelor of Science degree in Political Science and Business Administration. She joined Smith Lund Mills Funeral Chapel in 2001 and is active in the administrative and marketing details of the firms.
Christina has served on many local and regional boards such as South Lane Wheels, Linfield College Alumni Board and Junior League of Eugene. Serving as the board chair of CASA of Lane County, she spent more than 14 years advocating for children. Christina is active in a variety of civic groups including Cottage Grove Rotary, the Bohemia Park Project and Cottage Grove Vision 2037. In recent years, she has spent much of her time on local community projects to enhance the livability of Cottage Grove. In 2008, she brought her fundraising and development expertise, as well as a passion for helping non-profit organizations reach the next step in their growth, to her new venture, Lund Development Solutions.
She and Marc are the proud parents of two boys. With her family, Christina is an avid skier, golfer and amateur chef.
Tami Stewart is a third-generation Cottage Grove resident. She graduated from Cottage Grove High School in 1989, later attending a vocational school specializing in the travel industry. In 2010 Tami began her career in funeral service and is currently serving families in the community as a licensed Funeral Director/Embalmer. She obtained her degree in Mortuary Science from Arapahoe Community College in 2014. Previously Tami was a self-employed, wedding coordinator and professional photographer for 10 years. She has 30 years of customer service experience and is an active community member. She is a Past President of the South Lane Family Relief Nursery Board of Directors, Community Sharing volunteer, and has participated in Relay for Life and volunteers within South Lane School District working with children. Tami and her husband Faye have four beautiful children. Her hobbies include walking, traveling, photography, cooking and spending time with her family.
Jennifer was born in California. Her family later moved to Yoncalla, Oregon where she grew up on a cattle and sheep ranch. Jennifer graduated from Yoncalla High School in 1990. In 1996 she received her Certified Nursing Assistance state certification. Jennifer continued her education attended Umpqua Community College where she received her certification in Phlebotomy and a few years later her certification as a Certified Medication Aid. She worked in nursing from 1996-2010. Jennifer then enrolled at Lane Community College for her Associates in Human Services. In 2014 she joined the Sunset Hills team, and currently serves as a Funeral Director.
As a former softball player she has coached her daughter in both Little Fir League and Little League. Jennifer loves the Oregon outdoors and enjoys kayaking, hiking, fishing, camping, and spending time with family. She is a proud grandma of four special kiddos. She is very passionate about rescuing small dogs, and finding them forever homes. As a Cottage Grove resident with her partner. Jennifer works hard to make her community a better place to live.
David is a 5th generation Oregonian whose family moved here via the Oregon Trail in 1846 and 1853. Graduate of Cottage Grove Union High School, Lane Community College and the University of Oregon with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Personnel and Industrial Management. Retired from Lane County after 23 years serving as Director of Elections and Sign Shop Supervisor. Retired Lieutenant Commander with 30 years’ service, active and reserve, in the U.S. Naval Reserve. He is a life member of the local Masonic Lodge. David is married. He and his wife Joy have two children and five grandchildren.
Randy Wood serves as our Pre-Planning Councilor and has been guiding families through the difficult times of loss for more than 45 years. He is a Certified Cemetery Executive (CCE), a designation given to him by the International Cemetery Cremation Association of North America (ICCFA). Randy is also an ordained minister and retired from pastoral responsibilities in 2008.
Randy has been married to his wife, Charceline, over 50 years. He loves living in Lane County. They have 2 adult children, 4 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren living in Southern California.
Randy relaxes by playing golf, attending track and field events, fishing, hunting, spending time with friends, and enjoying the wonders of Oregon.
Randy considers it an honor to represent Sunset Hills by helping those who want to pre-arrange their final wishes.
Terry is an Oregon native who grew up in southern Oregon. He graduated from high school in Grants Pass, then began a career working in the lumber and plywood industry for many years. He is also experienced as a heavy equipment operator. Terry eventually moved to Eugene and has been with Sunset Hills since 2010. He is responsible for the cemetery grounds, facility maintenance and burial services. Terry enjoys hunting, fishing, the outdoors, yard sales and spending time with his five sons and his grandchildren.
Funeral Director Apprentice
Sylvia was raised in Olympia, WA. She was a U.S. Pony Club and 4-H member and participated in the U.S. Junior Latin League in high school. She has lived and worked throughout the country, including Seattle, Nashville, and Austin. She and her husband were married for three years before they moved to Eugene in June of 2019. They hope to put down roots in the Pacific Northwest.
Sylvia has a varied background in the funeral industry and customer service, having worked as a cake designer and custom furniture designer before moving to Oregon.
In her spare time, Sylvia enjoys writing, historical architecture, and cooking Julia Child’s classic French recipes.
Lori Cordova was born and raised in North Bend, OR. Lori joined the team at Sunset Hills Funeral Home as an administrative assistant shortly after relocating to Eugene with her family. Lori loves to spend time with her two children and significant other riding bikes, camping, and cooking family dinner. She is also a member of the PTA and a baseball mom.
Kathy is a life-long resident of Oregon, living in Lane County for 20 years. She enjoyed a career in the banking industry for 40+ years before joining the team at Sunset Hills in 2018 as a bookkeeper. Kathy and her husband have five children and 11 grandchildren. Kathy is active with young children’s education programs in her church community in Cottage Grove. Along with landscaping their 12 acres, Kathy and her husband spend their leisure time together traveling throughout the U.S. and abroad, hiking, camping, kayaking, watching sporting events and hosting family gatherings.
